The Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G is a feature-focused mid-range smartphone that combines a large 6.76-inch FHD+ LTPS LCD display, up to a 144Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset, 6,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging. It runs Android 16 with XOS and is promised three major Android updates and five years of security updates.
The display is one of its key strengths, offering sharp FHD+ resolution and smooth scrolling. However, it uses an LCD panel rather than AMOLED, and testing indicates that the 144Hz mode is not consistently maintained in all situations. The phone also offers IP68 dust and water resistance, adding useful protection for everyday use.
For performance, the Dimensity 7100 provides capable everyday performance for browsing, social media, streaming, navigation and regular multitasking. Independent testing recorded an AnTuTu score of around 756,960, although heavier multitasking and demanding gaming can expose some limitations.
Photography is handled by a 50MP primary rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Camera output is adequate for everyday photography, but image detail and colour accuracy are not the phone’s strongest areas.
The 6,000mAh battery provides good everyday endurance, while 45W charging offers reasonably quick top-ups. Overall, the Hot 70 Pro 5G focuses on display resolution, durability, battery capacity and software support rather than delivering a premium AMOLED display or flagship-level camera experience.
The Infinix Hot 70 Pro 5G is a well-rounded smartphone for users who want a large high-refresh-rate display, dependable everyday performance, strong durability and a sizeable battery. Its FHD+ 144Hz display, Dimensity 7100 processor, 6,000mAh battery and IP68 rating give it a compelling specification package for its segment.
Its biggest compromises are the LCD display instead of AMOLED, moderate camera performance and limitations during heavier multitasking or demanding gaming. The 144Hz refresh rate is also not consistently utilised in real-world usage.
For everyday users, students and buyers prioritising battery life, durability and smooth scrolling, the Hot 70 Pro 5G offers a practical combination of features. However, users who prioritise AMOLED display quality, advanced photography or heavy gaming should compare it with other phones in the same price range before buying.
