The Motorola Signature is a premium 5G smartphone built around high-end performance, a slim body and a versatile camera system. It measures 162.1 × 76.4 × 6.99mm and weighs 186g. The phone uses an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and a linen-inspired or twill-inspired rear finish. It is rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust protection and also carries MIL-STD 810H durability certification.
The front features a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 2780 × 1264 resolution, 450ppi density and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 10-bit colour, 100% DCI-P3 coverage and Pantone Validated colour. Motorola also specifies up to 6200 nits peak brightness and touch sampling of up to 360Hz.
Performance comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 3nm processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM. Indian configurations include 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 16GB with 512GB and 16GB with 1TB, using UFS 4.1 storage. The hardware is designed for demanding applications, gaming and multitasking. The phone runs Android 16 and Motorola promises up to seven years of operating-system upgrades and security patches.
Photography is handled by three 50MP rear cameras: a 50MP Sony LYTIA 828 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP autofocus ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The system supports up to 100x Super Zoom Pro and 8K Dolby Vision video recording. A 50MP autofocus front camera handles selfies and video calls.
The phone houses a 5200mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, along with reverse-charging options. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, GPS, USB 3.2 and Nano-SIM + eSIM support. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Sound by Bose complete the multimedia experience.
The Motorola Signature is positioned as a flagship-level smartphone, and its hardware largely reflects that positioning. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage provide substantial performance headroom for demanding applications, high-end gaming and intensive multitasking. The 12GB and 16GB RAM options should also make the phone comfortable for users who keep many applications active.
The display is another significant strength. Its 6.8-inch 165Hz AMOLED panel combines high resolution with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, wide colour coverage and a very high refresh rate. This makes it particularly suitable for gaming and multimedia consumption. The large screen, however, may not appeal to buyers who prefer compact phones.
Motorola has also given the Signature a more complete camera system than many flagship phones. The 50MP main camera provides OIS, while the 50MP periscope telephoto adds 3x optical zoom and the 50MP ultra-wide includes autofocus and macro capability. This gives users flexibility across landscapes, portraits and distant subjects. The 50MP front camera further strengthens its selfie and video-call capabilities.
Battery hardware is well balanced for a thin flagship. The 5200mAh silicon-carbon battery is paired with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, giving users both fast wired top-ups and the convenience of wireless charging. IP68/IP69 protection and the aluminium construction add useful durability for everyday Indian conditions.
The main consideration is value. Motorola's official Indian store currently lists the 12GB + 256GB version at ₹59,999, down from an MRP of ₹74,999. Higher-storage variants are also available.
The Signature is best suited to buyers looking for flagship performance, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, versatile cameras and fast wired and wireless charging. Users who prioritise a smaller phone or prefer a less expansive display may find its 6.8-inch form factor less convenient.
