The OPPO Reno 15 Pro 5G is a premium smartphone designed around photography, performance and long-lasting battery life. It has an aluminium-alloy frame and glass back, with IP66, IP68 and IP69 protection against dust and water. The phone measures about 7.65mm thick and weighs around 205g. It is available in Sunset Gold and Cocoa Brown.
At the front is a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 2772 × 1272 resolution and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports 10-bit colour, 100% DCI-P3 coverage and up to 1800 nits HBM brightness. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 provides protection for the screen, while the high refresh rate makes scrolling and supported games feel smoother.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options include 256GB and 512GB using UFS 3.1 technology. This combination is suitable for demanding apps, multitasking, gaming and content creation, although there is no microSD card slot for additional storage.
Photography is a major focus. The rear system consists of a 200MP main camera with two-axis OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with two-axis OIS. The telephoto camera provides up to 3.5x optical zoom. A 50MP autofocus front camera with a 100-degree field of view handles selfies and video calls. Both front and rear cameras can record 4K video at up to 60fps.
The Reno 15 Pro 5G carries a 6500mAh battery and supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging as well as 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. OPPO says a full 1–100% charge can take around 51 minutes under its specified testing conditions.
Software is handled by ColorOS 16, with OPPO promising five major ColorOS version updates and six years of security updates for the Indian model. Connectivity includes 5G, dual Nano-SIM support, eSIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and USB-C.
The OPPO Reno 15 Pro 5G is a strong option for buyers who place photography and multimedia high on their priority list. Rather than using a high-resolution primary camera alone, OPPO combines three 50MP/200MP-class sensors with dedicated ultra-wide and telephoto hardware. This gives the phone considerably more flexibility for portraits, landscapes and distant subjects than a basic dual-camera setup.
The 200MP main camera with OIS is the centrepiece, but the 50MP telephoto camera is arguably just as important for everyday versatility. Its 3.5x optical zoom provides a useful dedicated focal length for portraits and subjects farther away, while OIS on both main and telephoto cameras should help with handheld shooting. The 50MP autofocus selfie camera and 4K60 front-video support also make the phone attractive to users who create short-form videos or frequently use the front camera.
Performance is another clear strength. The Dimensity 8450 paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM gives the Reno 15 Pro 5G enough hardware headroom for demanding multitasking and gaming. However, buyers looking strictly for the highest possible flagship performance may still find newer top-tier chipsets ahead of it.
The display is well matched to the hardware. Its 120Hz AMOLED panel, high pixel density, wide colour coverage and 1800-nit HBM brightness make it suitable for gaming, streaming and outdoor use. The 6.78-inch size is excellent for media consumption but contributes to the phone's relatively large footprint and 205g weight.
Battery performance should also be a major advantage. The 6500mAh capacity is substantial, while 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging give users both speed and convenience. The IP66/IP68/IP69 protection is another useful benefit for Indian users dealing with dust, rain and everyday exposure to moisture.
The main compromises are the premium price, lack of microSD expansion and relatively heavy body. At launch, the Indian price was ₹67,999 for 12GB+256GB and ₹72,999 for 12GB+512GB.
Overall, the Reno 15 Pro 5G is best suited to photography enthusiasts, content creators, gamers and premium smartphone buyers who will make good use of its camera system, display and fast charging. It is less compelling for users who only need basic communication and everyday apps.
