The OPPO F31 Pro 5G is a mid-range smartphone designed for users who want a high-quality display, dependable performance, long battery life and added protection against dust and water. It features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution of 1080 × 2372 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports up to 1,400 nits of high-brightness mode, with vivid and natural colour profiles for different viewing preferences. DT-Star D+ glass provides screen protection, while the punch-hole design keeps the front appearance modern.
The phone measures 158.2 × 75 × 8mm and weighs approximately 191g. It is available in Space Grey and Desert Gold. Its IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings provide different levels of protection against dust and water exposure, although users should follow OPPO’s usage guidance and avoid assuming that water resistance makes the phone suitable for every underwater situation.
Powering the OPPO F31 Pro 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processor, paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage in the supplied configuration. Virtual RAM expansion of up to 8GB is also listed. This combination is suitable for everyday multitasking, productivity apps, streaming and casual to moderately demanding gaming.
For photography, the phone has a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 2MP macro camera. The main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, while additional modes include Night, Portrait, Pro and underwater photography. A 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls, with front video recording up to 1080p at 30fps. AI features such as AI Eraser 2.0, AI Perfect Shot and AI Group Photo Composer offer extra editing options.
The device runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15. It includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, Google Gemini integration and AI productivity tools. Connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type-C 2.0. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, so wired headphones require a compatible USB-C connection or adapter.
A 7,000mAh battery is one of its main highlights. It supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging and reverse charging, making it useful for people who spend long hours away from a power outlet. Overall, the OPPO F31 Pro 5G combines a smooth AMOLED screen, stabilised main-camera hardware, a large battery and enhanced durability for everyday use.
The OPPO F31 Pro 5G stands out as a practical choice for buyers who want a large battery without giving up a premium-looking display or useful camera features. Its 7,000mAh capacity is particularly appealing for commuters, travellers and people who rely on their phones throughout the working day. The 80W SUPERVOOC charging system is also a meaningful advantage because it helps reduce the time spent connected to a charger.
The 6.57-inch AMOLED panel is another strong point. Full HD+ resolution provides good detail for text and video, while the 120Hz refresh rate makes supported scrolling and animations feel smoother. The Dimensity 7300-Energy processor and UFS 3.1 storage should provide responsive everyday performance, including app switching and casual gaming. However, users who regularly play demanding games at high graphics settings may prefer a device with a more powerful processor.
The 50MP main camera benefits from optical image stabilisation, which can help reduce blur caused by hand movement. The 2MP macro camera adds a close-up option, but it is relatively basic compared with a dedicated telephoto or higher-resolution secondary camera. The 32MP selfie camera is well equipped for casual portraits and video calls, although actual image quality will depend on lighting and software processing.
The phone's IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings are useful for buyers concerned about dust and accidental water exposure. These ratings do not make the device indestructible, and water resistance can change with wear or damage. The absence of a headphone jack may also inconvenience users who prefer traditional wired earphones.
Verdict: The OPPO F31 Pro 5G is well suited to users who prioritise battery capacity, fast charging, a smooth AMOLED display and everyday durability. It is less compelling for buyers who want advanced zoom photography, a headphone jack or top-tier gaming performance. Compare the current Indian price and software-support terms with similarly priced alternatives before making a final decision.
